Twitter is a microblogging social media site. Yeah…I know I know…what’s that really MEAN anyways?
Well, by now, we have all heard of a Blog…which is basically an online journal or diary. A Blog entry can be HUGE! I have read blogs that are 6 or 7 pages long and I have read other blog entries that are a paragraph or two. Well, for MICRO-blogging, your entry is a maximum length of 140 characters…not WORDS, but characters. What this means is that your twitter microblog entry will be about a sentence or two.
This is good for sending information in “soundbyte” format meaning that it is just that basic and important informatio…or as my dad would say “it’s just the meat and tatters”.
